THE K9 AQUAZONE The AquaZone is yet another first for MDS and Paws in the Park and following in the proud tradition of Flyball, Cleverdogs, Scent Hurdling and Dash ‘N’ Splash. It will feature no less than four specially designed pools and will cater for a wide range of doggy water sports. There is a K9 paddling pool where those dogs that are not so adventurous can still join in with a host of water splashing fun games. We have a 4ft deep training pool which is very important when introducing dogs to this type of activity and includes training on how to enter safely and swim and exit with confidence. No dog is ever made to do things with any MDS sport and the training pool is in many ways the most important part in the AquaZone. There is the Dash ‘N’ Splash jumping pool which is 40ft long and hopefully where again we will see the UK and European record broken yet again. MDS introduced the sport to this country four years ago and the set up and competition remain the standard by which others are compared. Entries should be pre-booked to avoid disappointment. Lastly but by no means least we have the swimming gala pool which will feature a range of swimming and retrieve tests against the clock including Dash 'N' Grab. Nothing like the AquaZone has ever been seen in this country and as most dogs simply love water once they get used to this area they will simply love it. It will certainly be great fun if you don’t mind getting a bit damp and wet suits may be a good idea!
