The Mid Essex Newfoundlands will be at the Paws in the Park Show at the Hop Farm in September.  Newfoundlands are the gentle giants of the dog world - 12 stone of water and mud loving animals with a mass of hair and slobber thrown in. Don't think of them as docile or lazy either especailly when they are near to water! You don't own a Newfie you share your life with them and the reward is a companion that is second to none - unless thats another Newfie!

We may try to get these great swimmers performing in the Dash 'N' Splash pool but their principal activity at the show, with their family the Leonbergers will be carting. There will be numerous experienced owners on their stand to tell you all about these very special dogs.

Enjoy watching their display in the arena with a parade of numerous decorated carts pulled by these gentle giants.
