Q:

Where is this years Paws in the Park Show being held?
A: At the Kent Showground at Detling, near Maidstone in Kent. ME14 3JF  The show this year is being held on the 22&23 September 2012.

Q: Where is the Showground exactly?
A: On the A249 at the top of Detling Hill between junction 7 of the M20 and junction 5 of the M2

Q: Can I get to the Showground by Public Transport?
A:

The best train station is Maidstone East.  We would advise a taxi from the station and not to travel by bus as the showground is situated along a dual carriageway which will be dangerous to cross.

Steamline Taxis operate from both Maidstone East and West and accept dogs 01622 750000.


Q: What time does the show open to the public?
A: The show is open between 9.30 am and 5pm

Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes, of course - this is 'the special show for you and your dog' and we want you to enjoy a great day out with your best friend.

A: Are there facilities and parking for disabled people?
Q: Yes, there is parking for disabled.  There are concrete roads within the showground to facilitate wheelchairs although there will be events held on grass.  There will be disabled toilets.

Q: Are there concessions for disabled?
A: Yes, the disabled person pays the same entrance fee as a senior/child ticket and the carer enters the show free of charge.

Q: How much is the car parking?
A: Car parking is free

Q: What age do I have to be to qualify for Senior Citizens rates?
A: Aged 60 for both men and women

Q: What age qualifies for a child ticket?
A: Children between 3 and 15 years old.  Children under 3 go free.

Q: What facilities are there for people camping at the show?
A: There are toilets and shower facilities. 

Q: What time can I arrive to camp?
A: From 12pm-9pm Friday 22 September or Sat from 7am, camping must be booked in advance.

Q: Is there food available for those camping?
A: Yes, there is food and a bar available on Friday and Saturday evenings.  There will also be a Dairy Crest van Saturday and Sunday 6-10am selling general provisions.

Q: Is there evening entertainment?
A: We have lined up some great entertainment for you in the Kent Pavilion, with a quiz Friday night and a cabaret evening with Richard Curtis on Saturday evening.  Our very own Tom and Adam will also entertain! Entry is FREE to all visitors and campers.
