Q:

Where is this years Paws in the Park Show being held?
A: At the Kent Showground at Detling, near Maidstone in Kent. ME14 3JF  The show this year is being held on the 21 & 22 September 2013.
   
Q: Where is the Showground exactly?
A: On the A249 at the top of Detling Hill between junction 7 of the M20 and junction 5 of the M2
   
Q: Can I get to the Showground by Public Transport?
A:

The best train station is Maidstone East.  We would advise a taxi from the station and not to travel by bus as the showground is situated along a dual carriageway which will be dangerous to cross.

 

Streamline Taxis operate from both Maidstone East and West and accept dogs but YOU MUST book in advance when bringing your dog 01622 750000.

   
Q: What time does the show open to the public?
A: The show is open between 9.30 am and 5pm
   
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes, of course - this is 'the special show for you and your dog' and we want you to enjoy a great day out with your best friend.  All dogs must have up to date vaccinations and be on a lead at all times. Don't forget your poo bags and always remember to clean up after your dog!
   
   
Q If I don't want to camp is there accomodation near by?
A Yes we would recomend the Black Horse at Thurnham, dog friendly about 10mins from showground- click here or travel lodge in Maidstone click here
   
   
Q: Do I need to register for any of the activities before the show day?
A: Not all activities require you to register before hand. However, we advise you to arrive early to ensure your dog gets a go!
   
Q: Can I buy products for my dog at the show?
A: Yes! There will be an extensive range of stands selling almost anything you could want for you and your dog.
   
   
   
   
   
Q: Are there facilities and parking for disabled people?
A: Yes, there is parking for disabled.  There are concrete roads within the showground to facilitate wheelchairs although there will be events held on grass.  There will be disabled toilets.
   
Q: Are there concessions for disabled?
A: Yes, the disabled person pays the same entrance fee as a senior/child ticket and the carer enters the show free of charge.
   
Q: How much is the car parking?
A: Car parking is free
   
Q: What age do I have to be to qualify for Senior Citizens rates?
A: Aged 60 for both men and women
 
Q: What age qualifies for a child ticket?
A: Children between 3 and 15 years old.  Children under 3 go free.
 
Q: Can I book my tickets online?
A: Yes and you can save money by booking online. Just click here to book.
   
   Advance tickets will close at 5pm Wednesday 18th Sept after this, tickets can be purchased at the gate.
   
   
   
   
Q: What facilities are there for people camping at the show?
A: There are toilets and shower facilities. 
   
Q: What time can I arrive to camp?
A: From 12pm-9pm Thursday 19th September, 8am - 9pm Friday 20th September or Saturday from 7am, camping must be booked in advance. Click here to book.
   
Q: Is there food available for those camping?
A: Yes, there is food and a bar available on Friday and Saturday evenings. 
   
Q: Is there evening entertainment?
A: We have lined up some great entertainment for you in the Kent Pavilion, with a quiz Friday night and a cabaret evening with Richard Curtis on Saturday evening. Entry is FREE to all campers. Day visitors must buy tickets on the day from the information marquee (numbers are limited).  
   
Q: Is there a vet on call?
A: Yes. Vet on call details for this show are:

  IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  Do not leave your dog in the car, especially on a hot day!
  Any persons mistreating their dog will be asked to leave the show imediately!
