Daisys Dog Deli- Yum !!!
What a special event Paws in the Park 2010 was. The NSARDA Cantech team had a fantastic time running the “have a go at search & rescue” activity. While most visitors were just having good fun with their dogs, the most competitive were taking it pretty seriously and kept coming back for more to try and improve their time. The winner achieved a time worthy of a real search dog and truly deserved his prize.

While people were enjoying a fun activity with their dog, there was also a serious side to this and they were helping us raising much needed funds for our activities. Our stand and “Have a go” at Paws in the Park was our biggest fundraiser this year with nearly £2000 generated. Part of this sum has already been used to purchase new VHS radios to ensure optimum communication between the teams when we get deployed by the Police to assist in locating vulnerable missing people. We are also assessing dogs met at the event who may join the ranks of our highly trained search team.

We are incredibly grateful to MDS for inviting us to the event, which was run so well again this year. And a big thank you to the public for their amazing generosity. Whoever said that dog owners do not have a heart? Well, certainly not us. We are now busy planning next year and we can’t wait to meet the 2011 crowd. The team has already come up with new ideas to make the Search & Rescue activity bigger and better. Don’t miss it!”

Thanks again for everything and we would love to sign up again for next year.

Kind regards,

Caroline

Dear Penny

Just wanted to thank you once again for your support - it has been a truly amazing weekend for our rescue and we are indeed very grateful.

I have put a post up on our forum tonight updating news of the weekend.  Here is the thread:  http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra40397.php#40397

Hope you have a peaceful and restful week after this weekend.  Take it easy and well done on such a spectacular event.

 Best wishes

Sharon & Tina ... chuffed to bits!

We are writing to congratulate you on the undoubted success of Paws in the Park 2010. It was remarkable when you consider the current economic climate. We had over 30 volunteers taking part in the PAT dog parade over the weekend, a turnout to rival Discover Dogs and Crufts :-) The dogs all behaved impeccably and the volunteers all thoroughly enjoyed their participation at the event. They are already asking if we can do it again next year !! Enquiries from potential volunteers stretched countrywide including a couple who had journeyed from Wales just to attend the event. We also carried out 5 temperament assessments on potential PAT dogs over the weekend. Thank you again for allowing us to take part. Hopefully you will invite us again next year.

Best wishes

Thanks for having me at another Paws in the Park.

I had a great couple of days (although am totally knackered!) - and I
really enjoyed it. The crossbreed classes were good (although hard to
judge) and My Dogs Got Talent was probably the highest standard so
far.

Looking forward to next year.

All the best (and bet you have a glass of wine or two tonight!).

Have a Go Heelwork to Music

Thank you so much for inviting us to do the 'have a go' ring again this year.

We had lots of fun and managed to more than double the entries that we had last year.

It was another lovely event and it looked to be run very smoothly, so well done to both of you and your team.

Thanks Again

Louise
