Q: When are this year's Paws in the Park shows?


A:  . The Paws in the Park Autumn show is on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2019.The Spring Show is on the 16-17 May 2020


Q: Where are this year's Paws in the Park Shows being held?


A: The Spring Show is held at The South of England Showground, Ardingly, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH17 6TL.

The Autumn show is held at the Kent Showground at Detling, near Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3JF



Q: Where are the Showgrounds exactly?


A: The South of England Showground is B2028 near Haywards Heath. Postcode: RH17 6TL

The Kent Showground is on the A249 at the top of Detling Hill between junction 7 of the M20 and junction 5 of the M2. Postcode: ME14 3JF

Q: Can I get to the showgrounds by Public Transport?



For The South of England Showground (spring Show) the nearest rail stations are East Grinstead and Haywards Heath.


The best train station for The Kent Showground (Autumn show) is Maidstone East.

We would advise taking a taxi from the station to the showgrounds. Streamline Taxis (01622 750000) operate from both Maidstone East and West and accept dogs but you MUST book in advance when bringing your dog.


Q: What time does the show open to the public?


A: All shows are open between 9.30 am and 5pm



Q: Can I bring my dog?


A: Yes, of course, Paws in the Park is 'the special show for you and your dog' and we want you to enjoy a great day out with your best friend. All dogs must have up to date vaccinations and be on a lead at all times. Don't forget your poo bags and always remember to clean up after your dog!


Q: Is there overnight camping available?


A: Yes, camping is available for all shows, with free Friday and Saturday night entertainment at the Autumn show only.  See our weekend camping page for more details.


Q: What facilities are there for people camping at the show?


A: There are toilets and shower facilities. Unfortunately none of the showgrounds have disabled showers.


Q: What time can I arrive to camp?


A: From 8am - 8pm Friday, or Saturday from 7am, camping must be booked in advance.



Q: Is there food available for those camping?


A: Yes, there is food and a bar available on Friday and Saturday evenings.



Q: Is there evening entertainment?


A: We have lined up some great entertainment for you at our Autumn show, and entry is FREE to all campers. Day visitors can buy evening tickets on the day from the information marquee (numbers strictly limited).


Q: If I don't want to camp overnight, is there accommodation near by?


A: Yes.

For our Autumn show at The Kent Showground, we would recommend:

Q: Do I need to register for any of the activities before the show day?


A: Not all activities require you to register beforehand. However, we advise you to arrive early to ensure your dog gets a go! Most have-a-go activities at Paws in the Park are run by charities or non-profit organisations, that usually ask for a nominal donation to take part (usually £2). Entries for the Companion Dog Show open at 10am, with classes starting at 11am. An entry fee will apply for each dog and each class entered.



Q: Can I buy products for my dog at the show?


A: Absolutely/ There will be an extensive range of stands selling almost anything you could want for you and your dog. Bring your credit card too!

Q: Are there facilities and parking for disabled people at the showgrounds?


A: Yes, there is parking for the disabled. At the Spring and Autumn Shows there are concrete roads within the showgrounds to facilitate wheelchairs although there will be events held on grass, and this can be quite uneven in places. There will be disabled toilets available.



Q: Are there concessions for disabled visitors?


A: Yes, a carer with a paying disabled person enters the show free of charge. You cannot apply for carers tickets in advance, but you can book your disabled ticket online and just turn up with your carer. Please bring proof in the form of a carers letter or a blue badge or anything to show that you are registered as disabled.



Q: How much is the car parking?


A: Car parking is free at all Paws in the Park shows.



Q: What age do I have to be to qualify for Senior Citizens rates?


A: You need to be aged 60, for both men and women.



Q: What age qualifies for a child ticket?


A: Children between 3 and 15 years old are eligible for a child ticket. Children under 3 go free. We offer NO student discount.



Q: Can I book my tickets online?


A: Yes, and you can save money by booking them online too! Click here to book show tickets online. Advance tickets sales will close at 5pm on the Friday before the shows. After this, tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day.


Q: Can I buy tickets on the day?


A: Of course, but they will cost you more than buying in advance online.


Q: Is there a vet on call?


A: Yes.



Do not leave your dog in the car, especially on a hot day. Our Paws Rangers will take action to rescue any dog seen in distress in a car.


Any persons mistreating their dog will be asked to leave the show immediately.


Should your dog become unwell, please take it to the show vet immediately.
